Black Middens bastle house, Tarset, Northumberland

Black middens bastle house is arguably the best preserved and most accessible Bastle house. It will take a small drive west of Bellingham into the wilds of Tarset but once there it is well worth it. The bastle house is also part of the "Reivers Trail".There is a small parking place with signboard. The bastle house itself has an observation deck and you can access all the way around it.

Just see how thick these walls are
