Carey burn, Harthope Valley, Northumberland

The Harthope water becomes Coldwater or Carey burn as it enters the Happy Valley. The bridge here was built in 1956 after the previous one was washed away in the floods of 1948.

This picture shows the view looking upstream towards the bridge and the start of the walk to Broadstruther.
